Endumax® film is a ribbon material that can be used by manufacturers to add strength and durability to their products. Endumax® film is often used in applications involving force transmission, material reinforcement, rope connections, and kinetic energy absorption, as well as in end products such as airfreight containers, laminated sails, ropes and cables, loudspeakers, and nets.
Weight for weight, Endumax® is 11 times stronger than steel, making it the strongest commercially available film in the world. Thanks to a low UHMWPE creep and high modulus, it offers high dimensional stability at very low weight. Its low polymer density of 0.97g/cm3 allows it to float on water and, although it is a flexible synthetic material, the inherent stiffness of Endumax® provides a high responsiveness and direct contact between payload and operator.
Endumax® film is 55µm thick, and available in two standard widths: 2mm and 133mm. Other widths are available on demand.
